Benefits to soil testing - why do we soil test?
Gardens & Ornamentals
There is nothing more demoralising that making expensive garden purchases for your plants to either die or just not thrive. Soil health and the elements within the soil are a huge factor in plants perishing, our soil tests analyse what might be lacking or in abundance in your soil. We recommend checking your soil every 1 - 3 years to keep a healthy and sustainable environment. This is a small cost to ensure your garden spend is efficient and productive!
Grazing & Paddocks
Feeding hay all year round? Spending too much on hay when you should have an abundance of grass? Poor soil health, field maintenance and over grazing is the number one reason for lack of grazing. We can't promise that you won't have to supplement your grass over the long winter months, but with better soil conditions and an appropriate plan you should be able to maximise your space and more importantly the nutrition your animals are getting from the grass grown.
Allotments & Vegetables
Nutrient deficiencies in vegetables (yes even home grown) are a growing concern.
Growing at home is sustainable and healthier option for lots of people, whether it is chilli plants inside, an allotment patch or a grand vegetable plot in the garden, it is acknowledged that a significant percentage of people are trying in some way to grow their own food.
Whether you need more produce or just want to make sure the quality is great, testing your soil will enhance the soil health and therefore the nutrients your produce contains.
